No Account Required

bearPodcast does not require you to create an account in order to use the app.

Information Processed by the App

bearPodcast may process the following types of information in order to provide core functionality:

• Podcast RSS feed URLs you add manually or import
• Podcast metadata fetched from third-party RSS feeds, such as podcast titles, episode titles, cover art, episode descriptions, shownotes, and chapter or timestamp information
• Audio and media URLs required for playback
• Playback progress for episodes
• Up Next queue data
• Listening statistics generated from your playback activity
• App preferences such as theme, language, playback settings, and related local settings

How Data Is Stored

By default, bearPodcast stores subscriptions, playback progress, listening statistics, queue data, and app preferences locally on your device.

Network Access

bearPodcast may access third-party network resources in order to:

• Fetch podcast RSS feeds
• Load podcast artwork and metadata
• Stream or download audio from podcast media URLs
• Search podcast content through supported third-party services

These requests are necessary for the app to function as a podcast player.

No Sale of Personal Data

bearPodcast does not sell your personal information.

No Advertising Trackers

bearPodcast is not designed as an advertising platform and does not use third-party advertising trackers for behavioral advertising.

Third-Party Content and Services

bearPodcast works with third-party podcast RSS feeds, media hosts, and related content sources. Availability, accuracy, and continued access to podcast content depend on those third-party providers.

When the app requests data from third-party sources, those providers may receive technical information typically included in standard network requests, such as your IP address, user agent, and request timing, subject to their own privacy practices.

OPML Import and Export

If you choose to import or export OPML files, bearPodcast will only access the files you explicitly select for that action.

Children

bearPodcast is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to independently consent to data processing in their jurisdiction.

Data Retention

Because most app data is stored locally on your device, you can remove that data by deleting app content, resetting app data within the app if supported, or uninstalling the app.

Security

bearPodcast uses standard platform and system networking capabilities, but no software can guarantee absolute security.

If you use bearPodcast outside your home country or region, third-party podcast and media providers may process data in other jurisdictions according to their own practices.
